Exhaust Noise Teaser For Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Released

In less than a week, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will be officially launched by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer. A number of spy shots and leaks gave supercar enthusiasts an idea of what to expect from the AMG GT. In addition to the spy shots and leaks, Mercedes-Benz also released a number of teasers aimed at piquing the interest of luxury supercar enthusiasts.

The latest teaser released by the German luxury vehicle manufacturer shows the exhaust noise of the upcoming vehicle, as indicated on a report from autoevolution.com. The latest teaser video is a fitting follow-up to another video released by Mercedes-Benz showing the sound of the engine of the AMG GT.

Although the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT cannot be considered as the direct successor of the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG, it offers similar features as the older supercar. The AMG GT features a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine offering 462 HP. On the other hand, the GT-S variant of the supercar has a power output of 510 HP.

The upcoming luxury supercar is Euro 6 compliant and will make an appearance at the Paris Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz revealed that the AMG GT is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph or 100 km/h within 3.8 seconds. It also has a top speed of 192 mph. The performance of the AMG GT is similar to the performance of the SLS AMG with its 6.2-liter V8 engine. Production of the SLS AMG has already ended with the upcoming debut of the AMG GT.

The ECO start/stop feature on the M178 engine of the AMG GT allows it to consume only 9.8 liters of gasoline for every 100 kilometers, which is equivalent to 24 mpg. The AMG GT is also lighter compared to the SLR since its weight is less than 1.6 tons or 3,527 pounds. The online debut of the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT is set on September 9.
