Mercedes-Benz Advert is Number One in Shazam

Giancarlo Perlas June 17, 2014

“Changes” the official soundtrack of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class is the number one advert this week in the Shazamed Ad Chart. The song composed by French electronic artists Faul & Wad Ad Vs. Pnua overtakes last week’s number one, “Shift” by K3Y which is Boohoo.com’s ad.

The 30-second short music video was created by Jung Von Matt & Publicis. It showcases the amazing features of the latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class such as its stylish exterior, luxurious interior, high-end controls, and the different financing options for its business customers.

The advert starts with the front fascia of the car, showcasing its headlamps, bumper, and grille surrounding its three-pointed star logo. Then, it shifts to the LED display and COMAND system of the vehicle.

The video also reveals that the new C-Class’ monthly payment starts at £329 for business users, subject to certain conditions. Then, the advance payment is only as low as £987.

The new Mercedes-Benz C-Class made its world premiere at the 2014 Detroit Motor Show, and it had its European debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. After that, the vehicle was released in Germany last March.

It should be noted that Volkswagen launched an ad campaign too made by Barry Louise Polisar. It features the song “Me and You” to promote the brand, and displays dogs riding the different models of the German marque. However, it only stayed at the eighth spot in Shazam this week.

The ranking in the charts are determined by the number of times each advert has been accessed in the Shazam app.
