Mercedes AMG Petronas Announces Partnership with EBM-Papst

This week, the Formula One team of Mercedes AMG Petronas announced its newly-forged partnership with ebm-papst. If you are wondering what does this mean for the F1 team of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, the new partnership will improve the cooling of the W05’s engine.

Mercedes’ partner will be offering its off-board cooling solutions, which will surely come in handy in areas where the climate is hot. According to Mercedes-Benz Passion, the technology of ebm-papst will be launched in the latter stages of the 2014 F1 season, particularly in Singapore.

Another benefit that will be provided by ebm-papst to Mercedes AMG Petronas in the future is that it will enhance the energy efficiency of the team’s operational facilities in Brackley. ebm-papst will also offer its expertise in the area of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
