Dartz Introduces An Armored Model Of The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 x 6

The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 x 6 is an imposing vehicle in itself but Dartz has given the vehicle additional features to draw more attention to it, according to a report from worldcarfans.com. The Latvia-based tuning company created an armored model of the G63 AMG.

When the vehicle was introduced by the luxury vehicle manufacturer last year, industry watchers did not think that nothing can make the vehicle more impressive than it already was. However, the output of the vehicle was increased by Brabus when it created the B63S, which featured a power output of 700 HP and torque of 960 Nm. In addition to the augmented power, the G63 AMG was also given a mean-looking body.

The Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 x 6 was transformed into the DrivE HARD 6 x 6 by Dartz, which calls its latest creation as the first funky armored car in the world. The design of the armored behemoth appears familiar since it was inspired by the Cougar 6 x 6 MRAP or Mine resistant Ambush Protected vehicle. This particular vehicle was featured on the fifth chapter of the Die Hard movie franchise.

The weight of the armored vehicle was not revealed by the Latvian tuning company. However, when the weight of the standard model is taken into consideration, it is possible for the weight of the new armor-plated model of the vehicle to reach 11,023 pounds or 5,000 kilograms.

In addition to its armored plating, Dartz has also increased the power output of the 5.5-lier twin-turbo V8 engine of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 x 6. It was increased to at least 1,019 HP while the torque went over the 1,000 Nm level. This is essential since due to the added one ton weight of the vehicle from its armored plating.

The unarmored model has a price tag of around $1.9 million or 1.4 million EUR while the armored model of the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6 x 6 is priced at around $3.3 million or 2.4 million EUR.
