QNX Presents the Technology Used in the Mercedes CLA AMG Concept Car

QNX Software Systems has been working hand-in-hand with Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America for more than a decade. In its years of partnership with the brand, it has been responsible in equipping Mercedes cars with state of the art technological enhancements.

The new infotainment system of the Mercedes S-Class Coupe and the Mercedes CLA AMG is a good example of how QNX’s partnership with the famous German automaker has been working out so far.

In the early days of the Mobile World Congress, QNX brought its Mercedes CLA AMG concept car to boast once again the technological features that its software offers to customers.

During the demo, QNX provided spectators a view of the car’s interior, highlighting its connectivity features and cabin tech software. The software-solution provider explained how the car can support the integration of various devices including those that run on iOS.

QNX also presented how its software operates on its infotainment system and instrument cluster. This included a display on the various feeds that the camera of the Mercedes CLA AMG can show.

In addition, the tech firm demonstrated how all the crucial information derived from the CAN bus of the car can be viewed via the central display. As an example, it showed how its software can display even the tire pressure of each wheels.

Among the others highlighted were the new streetview photograph feature of its navigational system, enhanced audio and its all-new connected car features.
