What makes Mercedes-Benz a really successful brand does not only lie on its ability to make innovations in its car, but it also lies in the skills of its people at advertising.

Last December, the brand came up with a revolutionary promotional event to show people what its Night View Assist feature can do. Through the advertising agency FHV BBDO with BeamSystems the dark evening on the canal in Amsterdam was literally lit to effectively give a “Day at Night” effect.

Making the Day at Night Promo

According to the video, the technique involved taking pictures of the facade of buildings located along the canal during daytime. Then, it was combined with the same infrared technology utilized by the Night View Assist of Mercedes.

After that, the images were beamed exactly in front of passing cars along the street to provide an astounding preview of what the Night View Assist can do, which can literally transform night into day.

Each beamed image came with the message “Get a brighter view at night. Mercedes-Benz Night View Assist.” Plus the logo of Mercedes and its slogan saying, “The best or nothing.”

New Mercedes S-Class Gets Night View Assist

According to various sources, a more advanced Night View Assist feature will be available in the new S-Class. So, this is definitely another reason for us to get more excited about the 2015 Mercedes S-Class Coupe.
