Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe May Be Unveiled During The Geneva Motor Show

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is expected to be officially unveiled by the luxury vehicle manufacturer in March during the Geneva Motor Show 2014, according to a report from gtspirit.com. In addition to the launch of the high-anticipated vehicle, a Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG model is also expected to be offered in the near future.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe is set to be offered in a number of variants and will feature a standard seven-speed 7G Tronic Plus transmission. A number of engine configurations will be matched with this gearbox that will provide power to the rear wheel or all of its four wheels through the Mercedes-Benz 4MATIC system. For the moment, the S63 AMG and S65 AMG are expected to feature rear wheel and four-wheel drive systems, which will be determined by the country where it will be available.

Although the final appearance of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe will not be available until it is unveiled during the Geneva Motor Show, the concept models of the vehicle show a more polished appearance than the standard S-Class sedan. It can also be considered as a suitable replacement to the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Coupe.

Jan Kual, design head at Mercedes-Benz, indicated that the S-Class Coupe Concept design is similar to the production model of the vehicle. He revealed that the production model will be narrower than the concept model by 20 millimeters. It will also be higher by around 30 millimeters. The front end of the production model will also feature slight modifications from the concept. The production model will also feature a slightly smaller set of wheels at 20 inches compared to the 21-inch wheels featured on the concept model.

But, the exterior of the production model of the vehicle is expected to share some similarities as the concept model. On the other hand, the interior of the production model of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe will not reflect the futuristic theme of the concept model.
