Giancarlo Perlas January 6, 2014Word is out that Mercedes will be joining the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is underway this week in Las Vegas. So, one can’t help but wonder about what will the three-pointed star brand offer us at CES.
Pebble Smartwatch Integration with Mercedes Cars
A few weeks ago, we have teased about the possible integration of the Pebble Smartwatch with Mercedes cars. Now, it’s finally happening with Mercedes at CES.
According to T3, a website that focuses on gadgets, Mercedes will provide a demonstration on how the Pebble Smartwatch can aid their drivers. Examples of these include checking the fuel level, looking at the door-lock status and helping drivers locate their Mercedes cars. In addition, the source claimed that the Smartwatch can also serve as a warning device to drivers by informing them (through a vibrating alert) if there are hazards or obstacles along the road.
Mercedes Augmented Reality App
On a separate news from Mercedes Passion, the participation of Mercedes at CES will also offer a sneak peek of its soon-to-be-released 2015 Mercedes C-Class. However, it will only be through an augmented reality app because the physical manifestation of the car seems to be reserved for the Detroit Motor Show which is only a few days away.
The augmented reality app of Mercedes at CES will provide the people in attendance a chance to view of the interior and exterior of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class. They can even test various customization options for the car and have the opportunity to drive it under virtual simulation. The digital drive style app will showcase the S and E-Class of Mercedes as well.
