Lewis Hamilton has been very vocal recently about his disappointment with the Mercedes F1 W04 car that he is driving according to Sky Sports.

In his statement with the press, he said that there is no point in gunning after the championship now. This is because Sebastian Vettel is already 60 points ahead of them.

Lewis Hamilton expressed his trouble with the car especially when running on heavy fuel loads. He told reporters that he is always caught off guard when trouble arises from it.

Add to that the team’s problem with the tires. Lewis Hamilton said that he had the opportunity to score a win at Silverstone but that was marred when the tires blew up.

His ire was also fueled by their ban to participate in next week’s Young Driver Test following their participation in a private test with Pirelli.

“You guys can eat your words, I have nothing positive to say about these tires,” Lewis Hamilton told the press. “If you can’t get past a Sauber, you know you have issues – especially when you were over a second faster in qualifying,” he added in his interview.

Lewis Hamilton went on to blow steam by saying, “I’m not even going to hope or pray that these tires are going to suit us because most likely they will suit the Red Bull. People don’t appreciate how big a negative it is for us not to do the test.”
