If you are looking for an automotive masterpiece that will make you stand out from the crowd, then the Mercedes-Benz G-Class (also known as Geländewagen) is certainly what you need, given its paramilitary roots and the breadbox styling. Buying an outlandish car that is long-lasting and durable in the long run is great, and this car has it all – moreover, it is based on the idea of offroad four-wheels, which was presented at the LA AutoShow Design Challenge. In a nutshell, this is an innovative and revolutionary idea that makes vehicles functional and practical, yet environmentally-friendly at the same time. Regardless of its innovative concept, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class wouldn’t be as famous as it is without its eco-friendly energy solution. Taking the underpinnings as an example, it must be mentioned that they are constructed around a fuel cell-driven train that acts like a hydro-tech converter and has an average cruising range of no less than 500 miles.
The whole eco-conscious concept (the Ener-G-Force system) is based on the evolution of the already existing environmentally-friendly fuel technology, which involve tanks implemented on the roof of the car, which use recycled water by converting it into energy. Basically, the water goes into the powertrain where it gets converted into fuel. Cars that have hub motors use calibrated output for enhanced performance, along with energy storage devices or conscious innovations that aim to protect the surrounding environment and they do not affect the car’s functions or capacity in any way.
Despite the fact that this big, stylish offroader looks like a tank that is able to overcome every obstacle on every track, it has a Terra-Scan system. Just as the name suggests, this system is especially designed to evaluate the surrounding surfaces and obstacles and to properly adjust the suspension along with damper rates, which aim to deliver the best results. The final purpose of the Terra-Scan system is to deliver excellent maneuverability and to help you drive the car efficiently and without the hassles.
On the other hand, the car is also geared with a pull-out toolbox located inside the hump located on the rear hatched – this tool comes in handy whenever your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and there isn’t anybody to help you out! In addition, the rocker panel lights are also very efficient and they come in handy, as they indicate how much battery you have left. This way, you can prevent unpleasant situations!
A Closer Look At The Organic Origins Of The Ener-G-Force Concept
This concept was designed by the well-known Hubert Lee, who is better known for the CLS era. The Ener-G-Force helps us imagine what will the next generation all-wheel drive law enforcement look like.
