E-Class Coupe spotted again in Germany – with almost no camo
Muamer Hodzic December 31, 2008
We’re only a few months away from the Geneva Auto Show, where the E-Class Coupe is supposed to be revealed, but we are being bombarded by the newest spy shots of the upcoming Coupe. Yesterday spy photographers spotted a test vehicle in Wales, and today we get spy shots of another test vehicle, this time in Germany.
This latest shot spots even less camo and is almost fully visible; the only thing covered are the head and taillights. This shot also clearly shows the resemblance to the current CL; I guess we have another name for it then – the baby CL.

Muamer – this looks beautiful. Also looks like it’s based on the current C-Class platform (W204). Is this correct?
I wonder if they had made a move to the E Class platform?
Since there will be a new C Coupe coming out.
The current and past CLKs were based on the C-Class platform, but the new E-Class Coupe will actually be based on the E-Class platform. That’s what I’ve been hearing so far.
Here is an AutoCar article talking about the new E-Class Coupe and how it will be based on the W212 (next-gen E-Class) platform
