We all love the rumor-mill, especially when we start guessing and talking like we know what they are up to. Well Mercedes has just given us some more rumors and speculations to talk about with the filing of a trademark on a CLC-Class name. It seems that they are planning to introduce a model withe CLC name which could either be the new Ocean Drive that was official introduced by DCX and will be unveiled at the Detroit Auto Show, or it could be a convertible CL that came out about a month ago. The CLC-class trademark was registered for both class 012 – Automobiles and their structural parts, but also class 028 – Toy model vehicles.

So what do we conclude, nothing really, it is too early to tell, maybe they’re just going to use it to make toy model vehicles, which I doubt. It could also be that the C at the end stands for a CL “Convertible” or “Cabriolet.” This could definitely be a possibility, since the new Ocean Drive Concept would not fit that name.
