FIA: No More Dummy Pit Stops in Formula One

The Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) warned teams in Formula One that it will no longer allow dummy pit stops in the sport. The governing body of F1 said it is against the rules, and anyone who will be employing it in the future will face sanctions. It was clear that the statement of the organization was obviously triggered by the play made by Mercedes-AMG Petronas during the British Grand Prix. He will serve as a replacement for Norbert Haug who just stepped down from this position last month. According to BBC news, Haug informed the company’s board last December that he was leaving the team by the end of 2012. He cited the team’s poor performance as the reason for his departure.
