Revealing the Top Earners in Formula One

Have you ever wondered how much does your favorite Formula One driver makes based on his contract? Recently, News.com.au revealed the list of the top earners in the sport. Based from the source, Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull, Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen are the highest paid drivers in F1. Each driver has a salary of $31.7 million. Lotus Will Shift to Mercedes Engines Next Season

Another team in Formula One is joining the Mercedes-Benz bandwagon. According to reports, Lotus F1 Team just inked a deal with the German automaker for a supply of Mercedes engines in the 2015 racing season. Mercedes AMG Petronas has been dominant this season. Toto Wolf Replaces Norbert Haug as Director of Motorsport

Toto Wolff, Williams team executive and shareholder, is leaving the group to join Mercedes-Benz as their head of motorsport. He will serve as a replacement for Norbert Haug who just stepped down from this position last month. According to BBC news, Haug informed the company’s board last December that he was leaving the team by the end of 2012. He cited the team’s poor performance as the reason for his departure.
