Pagani First Impressions Video

The well-heeled among us who don’t bother with little things like money will appreciate this new video of the Pagani Huayra, which is powered by an AMG-Mercedes twin turbo V12. Displacing 6 liters and giving an output of 700 horsepower, the Huayra’s engine has been further refined for 2012 by Mercedes to minimize turbo lag.

As you will see from GT Spirit’s video, the Pagani doesn’t give away any luxury to achieve its stratospheric levels of performance, as extensive use of carbon fiber has kept the weight of this supercar down. No expense has been spared in building this supercar, and Pagani even specifies lightweight and super-expensive bolts to put this car together. For the rest of use who cannot even hope to ride in this supercar, let us just content ourselves with this video of the how the Huayra performs from the inside and out.

Video: How Fast is the Mercedes E63 AMG Compared to the Others?

How do you compare cars’ speed? By making them race on a track or by making them drag race?

In this video you will see that four cars made by European manufacturers, equipped with v8 engines and are selling for a little less than $100,000 were pitted against each other.Racing in a  straight road of 1000 meters, who would win this, will it be the Jaguar XFR, Porsche Panamera S, BMW M5 or our very own Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG?

SLS AMG Asserts Its Presence In Real-World Video

Coverage of the SLS AMG has certainly not been lacking for the German manufacturer’s fabulous supercar, but a lot of these have been produced by professional outfits tasked with coming up with high quality output to make an impact.

But the SLS AMG doesn’t need extra help to make its presence felt, as this video shows. Taken at a mall in the UAE, the clip begins with the car entering the frame as it prowls down the driveway leading towards the road. Looking like a runway model on a catwalk, the SLS AMG exudes a presence that cannot be ignored. The rumble of the exhaust as it passes the camera promises of performance that surely exhilarates and which few cars can match. It’s too bad the road wasn’t long enough for the driver to make a full throttle run. Most enthusiasts who don’t even dare to dream of owning this supercar would surely have appreciated seeing the sound and fury this car can unleash.

Jay Leno Drives The SLS AMG Roadster At The MB Track

When a world-famous car-loving, car-collecting comedian takes the time to visit your factory, you of course roll out a grand welcome and use what footage you have to thumb your nose at your competitors.

MBUSA’s release of this clip shows Jay Leno hopping off a private plane and being greeted by the AMG CEO himself. Taking to a track that he saw only in pictures in his youth, Jay Leno gets advice from Mercedes driver and ambassador David Coulthard who tells Jay to just basically “trust the car”. The final part of the video shows Jay helping out with assembling an AMG engine. One doesn’t know if Robert the technician is a really serious guy who’s serious about his work or he’s just apprehensive that Jay will screw up his handcrafted engine.

Being the comedian that he is, Jay must have wreaked havoc on the work atmosphere during his tour of the facilities.

New B-Class Video Shows Stately Progression

Claiming that “No model change in the history of Mercedes-Benz has ever seen so many new developments introduced in one fell swoop”, Thomas Weber, Head of Development for Mercedes-Benz cars enthused about the safety features of the newly-launched B-Class. Though not as exciting to watch as the AMG stormers like the Black Series or SLS AMG, this footage of the new B-Class shows the packaging of the safety features that were of primary importance in the design of the vehicle.

What you see from the outside are the sleeker lines and distinctly Mercedes-Benz aura of the B-Class as it moves down the road. What is not immediately noticeable is the radar-based collision warning system with adaptive Brake Assist and the PRE-SAFE preventive occupant protection system, both of which are standard and new to this vehicle segment.

The new model also features direct injection and turbocharging, new diesel engine, dual clutch transmission, manual transmission and driver assist systems. The standard gas engine is a 1600 cc unit with 120 horsepower. Buyers can also opt for a larger displacement B200 with 156 horsepower. Diesel engines come with 110 horsepower in the B180 CDI and 136 hp in the B200 CDI.
