Concurrent with the market launch of the new Mercedes E-Class of the W 212 model series, BRABUS presents an exclusive tuning program for the new sedan. Highlights in the product lineup are the BRABUS 6.1 displacement engine with 462 hp (456 bhp) / 340 kW for the E 500 (E550 in the US), a sporty yet elegant aerodynamic-enhancement program, light-alloy wheels with diameters of up to 20 inches, matching suspension solutions, a high-performance brake system and exclusive interior upgrades.

You probably remember the ASMA tuned M-Class that looks like a hungry shark in some form or another. The guys are back and have created another creature that we should not mess with, literary. I actually asked myself if their goal is to make the cars uglier instead of improving them. They should take a look at what tuners like RENNtech and BRABUS are doing.

The guys definitely have lots to learn from the top players in the Mercedes tuning industry, but if they continue like this, they will soon find themselves tuning ricers. They did manage to increase the horsepower to 700, but honestly, who cares when it looks like that. Check out the gallery, maybe you’ll like it.

While Volker Mornhinweg, boss of AMG, surrendered declared the horsepower wars as being over, here comes another Mercedes tuning company that’s not giving up. Just yesterday we reported on how BRABUS is continuing the war with their new M-Class Widestar, now comes news from RENNtech that they are joining them. To show their intentions, they will be releasing numerous limited edition (20 to be exact) of super tuned Mercedes cars this year, to mark their 20th anniversary as a tuning master.

One of their projects with be the RENNtech 777, or better known as the re-skined and reworked Mercedes SLR. The 777 concept is really an all-new car that makes use of the advanced carbon fiber chassis of the SLR McLaren. It can be described as a street-legal track car. It will run on a revised 5.5L supercharged “Kompressor” v8 engine, with internal and external performance upgrades that will take the car passed 210 mph.

It seems that BRABUS, the uber-tuner from Germany, has not received the memo from AMG boss Volker Mornhinweg, declaring the horsepower war as being over, as they unleash another beast at us. This time it’s no other than the M-Class Widestar, the big brother of the GLK Widestar seen at SEMA.

BRABUS makes the updated SUV even more exclusive with an exciting custom wide version. Fitting additions are 23-inch forged wheels, sporty suspension modifications and power tuning for the entire engine lineup of this model series. The top-of-the-line engine is the ML63 with BRABUS B63S performance tuning. It delivers a maximum power output of 550 hp (542 bhp / 404.8 kW).

Mercedes-Benz GLK tuned by BRABUS

German tuning company, BRABUS, has transformed the GLK into powerhouse with its top-of-the-line turbo diesel model GLK 320 CDI 4MATIC. BRABUS, with its ECO PowerXtra D6 (III) tuning, is delivering an additional 48 hp (47 bhp) / 35.3 kW and a peak torque of 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) to the GLK. It turns the SUV into one of the sportiest diesel models in its class. The sprint from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes just 6.9 seconds, top speed is 228 km/h (142 mph).

The gasoline-powered V6 model GLK 350 4MATIC gains 15 hp, for a new rated power output of 287 hp. The BRABUS designers upgrade the striking styling of the Mercedes GLK with an extensive bodycomponents program that is manufactured in OEM quality from high-end Pur-R-Rim plastics.

The range of available BRABUS accessories includes stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo, various versions of an ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel, and even interior trim sets made from high-quality woods with various grains or from genuine carbon fiber.
