Mercedes-Benz is currently speeding up the production of the new Mercedes A-Class. Because of that, testing is also very spontaneous that’s why spyshots of the 2012 model are all over the Internet now.

With less camouflage, the A-class is showing more details, complicated details, that is. No details on what the car will have though, but based on how it looks, the engine should have the B-Class engines which can produce 122 to 204HP. The AMG version, which the A-Class is reportedly going to have will have a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine that can produce 325HP.

It’s still early to divulge information for now. We’re waiting though, and we’ll publish as soon as everything is public. Meanwhile, here are the spyshots.

The next generation M-Class rear end has been caught in undisguised form and like the rest of its Mercedes brethren, displays more angular lines compared to the rounded rumps of previous generations. Called the W166 by Mercedes, the new M-Class is expected to be available in the 3rd quarter of this year.

The rear lights look to be LEDs, a lighting technology that is already widely used, and the fronts would probably have LED daytime running lights. Driver aids like Blind Spot Assist, Distronic Plus and the Intelligent Light System should also make it to the new M-Class.

Engines are expected to range from a 4-cylinder diesel to a V8 twin turbo. These would include a BlueEfficiency variant with 204 horsepower, a 3.5 liter BlueTec with around 300 hp and of course the range topping ML63 from AMG. Hybrid versions are also expected to be part of the product line.

Although the 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL has no official launch date yet, it has already been spotted a number of times in heavily disguised form. In previous settings, observers have deduced that the GL will share the platform of the ML, although in stretched-out form. Now, it has most recently been seen in Sweden, obviously for some hard-edged testing in snow and icy conditions. The spy pics show a wide grill inspired by the R-Class and a front end reminiscent of the current E-Class. Additionally, new headlights and LED daytime running lights can be seen on the bumper. The rear of the vehicle was still successfully disguised so only conjecture will suffice at this point. It is believed though that a compact cluster for the rear lights will be part of the look of the GL’s rear end.

Powertrain options will probably mimic that of the ML’s which has a 5.5-liter gasoline V8 and diesels with 3- and 4-liter displacements. Mercedes’ 7G-Tronic automatic 7-speed transmission will most likely be the standard box. The 430 hp biturbo 4.6 V8 could be an option and if an AMG variant comes out, the AMG GL will most probably be fitted with the biturbo 5.5 liter V8 which produces 540 horsepower.

Spy photogs managed to get a set of images showing a styling buck of the next generation A-Class.
Lower and more aggressive-looking, it is unmistakably a Mercedes-Benz and the flanks even show hints of the CLS. Styling bucks are wood sections that are placed on a frame (oftentimes made of steel). Trolley wheels are place underneath for easy movement. Sometimes, the steel panels for show cars are made from full-size these templates of the concept cars. The styling buck that was captured on camera does not appear to be a full-size model.

As former rumors suggest and which even AMG has intimated, there may be high-performance models of the next A-class. These would be entry-level AMG models that would compete with the hot hatches from Audi and BMW

The new C-Class coupe was spotted at Mercedes’ Long Beach Vehicle Processing Center in California (with a few other soon-to-be-released models), where it will join the C-Class sedan in showrooms this year. As expected, the coupe and sedan will wear facelifted styling similar to the new E-Class, with LED daytime running lights below the headlights, with a wide, mesh-covered lower air intake below a two-bar grille. All in all, it looks like a smaller E-Class coupe.

As with the sedan, engine options would most probably be mid-displacement 3-liter sixes with 6-speed manuals and 7-speed automatics as transmission choices. Probable AMG versions would be V8 turbocharged monsters.

It would be safe to assume that since it would be based on the sedan, some features from that 4-door model would make it to the coupe. Based on the spy photographs we have seen, the future C-Class coupe will carry over the sedan’s front section, including the taillights and the rear bumper. As expected, there will be new rooflines, doors and windows.

It is possible that Mercedes will offer the new C-Class at a price lower than that of the sedan, in consideration of the decrease in the purchasing power of the consumer these past years.

As for the motive power for these coupes, it is anyone’s guess but existing powerplant configurations for the sedan come from four and six cylinder engines delivering 155 to 290 horsepower. Mercedes-Benz also has diesels of up to 230 horsepower for the sedan but only they know if those oil burners will make it to the coupe.

The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has been around for quite a while. That’s why the company decided that it’s about time that they came up with another generation of their famous small car line. Not much is known as to what the company is up to and what the next generation B-Class would look like. That is, until now that photos of the new prototype has leaked, courtesy here of the Motor Report.

As a matter of fact, these spy photographs suggest that the prototype of the next B-Class is almost complete. Mercedes-Benz Head of Development Jorg Prigl for both the A and B Classes admitted during a moment with the press at the Paris Auto Show that the company is indeed working on the next generation B-Class. In fact, they’ve designed their new small car models using their highly advanced Front-Drive Architecture, or also known as MFA.

Prigl added that they’re slapping an intellectual property righted solution over their MFA platform for the A and B classes. Expect the new B-Class to have a higher roof and seating position, to make room for the battery pack, fuel cells, hydrogen tanks and even liquid petroleum gas tanks. So yes—the new B-Class powerplant may range from an internal combustion engine, an electric motor or some form of hybrid technology. The possibilities are endless, so stay tuned for updates.

It’s been a while since the C-Class first showed its face to the world—a world which gave it such a long, warm welcome. That is why Mercedes-Benz is working hard on facelifting their much-loved saloon to please the millions of C-Class fans.

The entire process of upgrading the C-Class is now in its advanced stages, and auto journalists armed to the teeth with spy cameras just couldn’t help but sneak a peek at what Mercedes-Benz is working on. So, without further ado, we give you this leaked image of what the facelifted C-Class would look like.

As you can see from the photo, restyled headlights would be the main enhancement, while a redesigned front bumper is complemented by an equally fresh looking bonnet. The rear end, meanwhile, gets a reworked bumper of its own plus, of course, a set of brand new taillight designs.

Inside, the cabin will get some fresh new interior fixtures, but nothing monumental. The only change that’s worth noting is the shift from five-speed to a seven-speed transmission. The engine, meanwhile, isn’t really set for a big change either, or at least none that we’re currently aware or certain of.

Hey, what really matters is that the facelifted C-Class will make its first appearance most likely in the city of Detroit come January 2011. And it’ll be bringing along a new member to the C-Class family, namely the new C-Class coupe. So if we were you, we’d be booking our plane tickets to Detroit in advance.

So yeah, the next C-Class will come in both coupe and convertible variants. In the gallery below, you’ll even get to peek at its interior. But how will the next C-Class Coupe fare against the two-door E-Class. Since the E-Class similarly is based on the current C-Class platform, it’ll be fun to see which of the two will be larger and performance-wise, which will be a lot more tempting to drive.

A lot of questions are hanging on these two vehicle lineups, questions which will hopefully get some answers from the up-and-coming Paris Motor Show in France. Surely, you guys are wondering what the price tag will be and how much they will differ for the different C-Class variants, namely the Coupe, Cabrio and Sedan. A bigger question it seems is whether the Coupe will be sharing platforms with the Sedan.

Oh well, perhaps only time will tell. One thing’s for sure, though—everyone, including us, is waiting for word on whether there will be a C63 Coupe. That, we got to see. As far as AMG is concerned, they’ve never actually let their loyal clients down, whatever new model rolls out of Mercedes-Benz’s production lines.

In case you’re wondering, yes Mercedes-Benz has indeed said yes on a new C-Class Coupe. They say its set to joint the rest of the gang once the current C-Class expires, making way for a replacement. To back it up, here are new spy photos of an orange crash test coupe that show brand new details of what the C-Class Coupe may look like.

If you look closely at the base of the C-pillar, you’ll notice that there’s an ascending line that’s quite a stark difference from Mercedes-Benz’s current models. Apart from that, nothing really certain right now. Wait, there is. Some of the photos also suggest wide wheel arches, deeper character line along the sides and, of course, Mercedes-Benz’s new headlight designs.

None other than Mercedes-Benz CEO for United States Ernst Lieb confirmed that their company is indeed planning on adding to the C-Class lineup to be able to go head-to-head with fellow German rival BMW, which already has sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon types of their 3 Series. This new lineup will be tailored for a target market that’s not crazy about the E-Class and S-Class.

If things turn out as imagined, the C-Class Coupe will join the rank of the E-Class Coupe. As for what engine it’s going to get, we’ll bet that it’s the same for the rest of the new C-Class platforms. Of course, there will be an AMG-powered variant that’s likely to feature the 5.5-liter V8. But for now, only time will tell.
