The C63 AMG Black Series under spy camera

Spy photos are in showing what looks like the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series model. The photos show what seems to be a four-door muscle car galloping along snowy urban roads. The rest of the photos, meanwhile, show what appears to be the next C63 AMG Coupe looking like it has been lured over to the dark side of the force. Close analysis of past Black Series model by Mercedes-Benz shows a two-fold design principle that’s quite simple to digest—a lot more horsepower plus better handling dynamics through design innovations such as lightweight construction materials and a wider wheel track. Meanwhile, the C63 AMG Coupe is forecasted to deliver… Continue Reading »

Spy photos of the 2011 SLK

SLK fans rejoice, for here are a couple of spy photos of the next-generation SLK’s exterior and interior. These images come from a source in the Netherlands. If you look closely at the shot of the interior, you’ll find hints of design cues picked up from the E-Class. A brief history of the SLK saw it being powered by several engines, for several different variants namely the SLK200 Kompressor, the SLK 300, the SLK 350 and the SLK 55 AMG. The 200 Kompressor had an inline 1.8-liter supercharged engine (hence the ‘Kompressor’ branding) rated at 163hp. It was, however, not sold in the US and Canada. The 300 meanwhile had… Continue Reading »

Black Series treatment for the C63 AMG?

Our latest spy photos reveal a prepped up Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Info that came with these photos suggest that this car is being prepared for testing. Just so you know, the C63 AMG is no pushover, as is with anything that bares the AMG tag. And this car you see is rumored to have around 510 of BMW M3-killing horsepower. That’s around 59 horsepower higher than the C63 AMG in stock form. Thinking back, this might be a last hurrah for the current C63, since the next generation C-Class and the facelifted version are now nearing their launch. Clearly, you can see fender flares that have been tacked on, hugging… Continue Reading »

Spy Cam: The 2012 GL-Class under guise

Some people find SUVs more exciting than passenger cars. Is it their sheer size or their calling for the off-road? Well, maybe it’s because they’re more practical when you’re carrying lots of cargo, including people. Whatever your reason may be, here’s something that might tickle your fancy—spy photos of the future GL-Class. Yes, Mercedes-Benz is in the process of one-upping the current GL. Apparently, they don’t want to give first dibs to anyone about the details. But that won’t stop people like us from posting teasers. You are teased by spy photos, aren’t you? The proto you see in the photos was captured in southern Germany, coming home to its… Continue Reading »

Leaked! AMG’s take on the next-generation CLS

We owe you guys and gals another installment of CLS updates, but this time, we aren’t going to give you renderings. The photos in the gallery below are the next-generation CLS sedan in what seems to be AMG tailoring. We may have been too excited to suggest that previous renderings of the next CLS were in fact its much-awaited AMG variant. This time, however, we’re quite sure that we’re staring at the right creature, unless of course Mercedes-Benz says otherwise. We could go on and on with the next CLS’ sexy lines, intimidating headlights and taillights, and bold fascia, but we’d rather stick to what really matters when involving anything… Continue Reading »

Lend us your eyes and ears! As promised, here are the latest images of what the next-gen CLS will look like. Take a close look and you might start thinking what we’re thinking—that these pictures may give us hints on what the future CLS’ AMG version with its full sports package will look like. As shown in the pictures, the CLS 350 seems like it’s a Sport… Continue Reading »

Details of the next B-Class

Here’s exciting news for the upcoming B-Class. None other than Mercedes-Benz marketing chief Joachim Schmidt announced that the new B-Class will have no less than four variants, and that includes one SUV and a hatchback version. The company is also working on a sedan variant that should be able to place itself well below the C-Class sedan. The entry-level B-Class sedan will hopefully attract younger buyers who are still not able to purchase, and maintain, a full-sized C-Class. Apart from the price tag, the B-Class sedan will surely be more fuel-efficient thanks to a smaller engine. Germany’s Autobild magazine reported earlier the previous year that the next-generation B-Class would feature… Continue Reading »
