The Mercedes-AMG GT is quick. Its 4.0-liter biturbo V8 engine is designed to deliver 456 hp for the standard GT and 503 hp for the GT S version. Each is mated with a 479 lb-ft of torque and distributed by the brand’s 7-speed automatic dual-clutch transmission gearbox with manual shifting mode. The said elements enable the sports car to achieve an acceleration from zero to 60 mph in only 3.5 seconds. Then its maximum speed is electronically limited at 193 mph. A recent report from a German online publication revealed that there’s an ongoing plan to develop a Mercedes-AMG GT sedan. According to AutoBild, the new sports car that will be solely made by Mercedes-AMG will be called the “Mercedes-AMG GT4″. The source also commissioned a render of the said car, which could be seen in the photo above. The article mentioned that the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT will be a response to the Porsche Panamera. 1928 Mercedes SSK Sports Car Replica to be Auctioned

A very rare 1961 replica of a 1928 Mercedes SSK sports car was announced for auction recently. According to a ChronicleLive report, the vintage car will be going under the gavel on November 1 at Village Auctions in North Tyne Industrial Estate, Benton. Although the two-seater car was inspired by the design of the 1928 Mercedes SSK, its engine was from a Volkswagen Beetle.
