Customer Teams Give Mercedes-AMG Welcome Victories

Over the weekend, there was more than the F1 race for Mercedes to consider. Despite the less than podium showing of the factory F1 team in Singapore, Mercedes’ customer teams brought welcome cheer to racing headquarters by finishing first in three different series events and a second in another. First of all, the HEICO-Gravity Charouz has won both team and driver’s titles in FIA GT3 European Championship while the ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport took over the lead in the FIA GT1 World Championship as a result of its consistent race results. In the Australian GT Championship meanwhile, 1st and second places were won by Erebus Racing.  The venerable Black Falcon team also placed 2nd and… Continue Reading »

Months before its debut, there are lots of spy photos of the ultimate car, all because of the rigid testing that the car manufacturer is doing to ensure that it will be one of the best cars that the world will ever see and ride. Seen in Nurburgring most of the time, the wider body kit Black Series is set apart from the standard SLS AMG. Erebus Mercedes team takes 1-2 win at Australian GT

If you’re not the kind of fan who drools over a photo of an F1 car, then you might be someone who’s more interested in race cars which look a lot more like their roadside counterparts. We’re talking about GT cars — or the Sergeant Security Australian GT Championship to be exact — held at Philip Island. Wet, cold weather was the setting which Peter Hackett and James Brock had to endure while in the helms of their Erebus Mercedes-Benz SLS GT3s. They were grinding teeth with the Dodge Viper GT3 and Ferrari 458 GT3s in Pro-Am format. “It was remarkable for our team, as it was only the second… Continue Reading »

Spyshots of the Mercedes SLS Black Series

For men out there who wants more “muscle” in their car, the Mercedes SLS Black Series may be what you are looking for. With its looks and power, it is no doubt meant for men. At 660HP, according to rumors, the SLS will be ultra-fast. And with V12 Biturbo engine that might be installed on it, then it will be double the fun and speed. It is said to be the fastest Mercedes ever made, with or without the V12. The car is expected to have a tag price of $500,000 though, so it might not be for everyone. Source: AutoEvolution

Brabus B63S Seen In The Flesh In Dubai

It’s not like the Mercedes SLS AMG is underpowered, but when you’re a recognized premier tuner of most things Mercedes, it would not be proper to ignore Mercedes-AMG’s top-of-the-line offering. So Brabus dutifully set about improving the awesome SLS AMG. By reworking the ECU and installing a titanium sports exhaust, Brabus was able to push engine output to 610 horsepower, from an already stellar 570. And as you can see in the flesh below, the Brabus treatment, by employing blacked out trim and grille, manages to exude a predator-like aura despite its subdued look. Only keen-eyed observers will immediately notice the discreet Brabus badges on the sides and rear of… Continue Reading »
