Mansory Gives the Mercedes S-Class a 800 HP Upgrade

Mansory is definitely not getting much love from automotive sites for its works involving Mercedes units. Quoting Motor Authority’s comment about the tuner, “The styling is typically far too in-your-face in the worst way, turning exotic, luxury, or high-performance machines into rolling bits of poorly planned pop art.” That is a bit harsh, isn’t it? However, as they say, sometimes beauty is skin deep. So, that means, one has to look what’s inside the shell of something to appreciate the real score within. In the case of the new Mansory Mercedes S-Class, the styling—despite the more subtle approach this time—may still not be winning any beauty contests, but looking under the hood will really… Continue Reading »

Mercedes-Benz is Recalling 2015 C-Class Sedans

Mercedes-Benz recently issued a worldwide recall of its 2015 C-Class sedans. According to a report from The New York Times, the move of the company is due to the strong likelihood of steering issues with the car. Is the Renaming Strategy of Mercedes a Smart Move

In my previous article, it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz is gradually implementing its renaming strategy. One of the affected would be the popular M-Class. Read the article here for more information on the story. I agree that the decision of Ola Kaellenius is very smart move, because it lets customers interrelate the products of the three-pointed star brand easily. It basically bridges a relationship between the larger variants of the German marque with their sedan counterparts. For example, the M-Class would be repackaged as the GLE to establish a connection with its more popular sedan cousin, which is the E-Class. It would also give more sense to the names of the different ranges of the brand,… Continue Reading »
