Mercedes-Benz and Smart Start the Year with High Sales

Daimler AG, through its Mercedes-Benz and Smart brands, started 2015 on a high note. The group displayed impressive sales this January compared to the same month of the previous year. According to a Wall Street Journal report, the two brands showed a double-digit increase in January sales on a year-on-year comparison. The sales of the Mercedes-Benz marque grew by 15 percent compared to its performance in the same month of last year. Mercedes-Benz Breaks Last Year’s Sales

There is still a couple of weeks left before the year ends, but according to the report of Daimler, Mercedes-Benz already topped its sales last year. Based from the parent of the three-pointed star marque, there were 1,486,839 vehicles sold since the beginning of the year. The figure indicated a 12.4 percent increase compared to 2013’s records. That’s not all. The sales record of the brand consistently displayed an increase in the months leading to November. US Sales For May Of Mercedes-Benz Increase By 8.3 Percent

Demand in the US market for the month of May increased by 8.3 percent compared to the same period a year ago. This was revealed recently by Mercedes-Benz USA as demand reached 27,359, a new monthly sales record for the company. Year to date sales increased by 9.8 percent, as sales of Mercedes-Benz vehicles reached 128,730. This include 7,517 Sprinter Van units, which is a 5.3 percent increase compared to the initial five months of the previous year. Diamler Partner Fuso Posts 18% Sales Growth

  In an industry where low single-digit sales bumps are trumpeted as significant gains, Fuso’s 18% sales growth cannot be described as anything less than stellar. Daimler’s Asian commercial vehicle subsidiary posted these figures as a result of selling 174,600 commercial vehicles last year. Fuso is planning 40 market launches this year to help propel it towards its “Fuso 2015” goal of selling 200,000 vehicles annually. Mercedes’ China Sales Dip For October

Compared to last year’s figures for the month of October, Mercedes-Benz reported that its China sales were almost 4% lower. When taken with the news that the automaker’s non-Japanese competitors experienced brisk sales, this seems like a worrying sign. MB USA Reports Record Sales

Coinciding with the JD Power reports of top places in customer satisfactions ratings, Mercedes-Benz USA has reported record sales for several of the models it has on sale in the U.S. Compared to May sales for 2011, a combined 18 percent increase in sales of Mercedes-Benz cars, Sprinter vans and smart cars was recorded.
