Mercedes-Benz USA Gets Record Sales in February

Mercedes-Benz USA managed to sell a total of 24,051 vehicles in February 2013, which translates to a considerable 22.2% increase over February 2012 numbers. That figure is good enough to be the best sales volume for the month for MB USA. The year-to-date figures are 48,110 units sold so far in 2013, which represents a 16.2 increase over the same period last year (41,398 units). Numbers don’t lie, and Mercedes-Benz’s numbers are simply astounding. The German automaker carried the momentum of its record-setting first three quarters of the year into October, delivering a total of 109,632 units for the month. That represents a 6-percent improvement over October 2011 figures. Thanks to strong September sales figures that jumped 7 percent compared to the same month last year, Mercedes-Benz was able to pad its lead over German rival BMW. So far, Mercedes-Benz leads by 5,221 vehicles in its bid to claim the title of number 1 luxury car brand in the United States. August 2012 was good to Mercedes-Benz, with all-time high sales figures for the month. We’ve already reported the figures from MB USA, and now here comes the global tally. The 91,316 units delivered this past month indicated a 4.5-percent increase over the same period lasy year, while year-to-date figures were up 5.4 percent after total sales so far in 2012 added up to 841,567 units. Strong August sales have allowed Mercedes-Benz USA to improve its tally compared to last year, with 20,557 passenger vehicles sold last month as opposed to 18,477 sold in August 2011, marking an 11.3 percent improvement. In addition, the monthly totals drive the manufacturer’s year-to-date figures to 168,462, which is up 13.5 percent from last year’s year-to-date number. Mercedes-Benz USA enjoyed a very bountiful June 2012, as Mercedes-Benz, smart, and Sprinter all garnered all-time monthly sales figures. It’s not just in the US where Mercedes-Benz was able to post record sales for the month of April—Mercedes-Benz Canada also reported that the 3,249 vehicles it delivered last month accounted for a 13.7% gain on the year-on-year comparative figures and helped it reach a record figure for the month.
