Mercedes F1 Seeks Help in Finding New Driver From Renault and Force India

Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team continues to keep its 2017 drivers lineup a mystery. Is it also possible that the group hadn’t signed up a replacement for Nico Rosberg yet? Recently, Mercedes F1 asked Renault Sport F1 and Sahara Force India F1 if they had drivers to spare in an unusual way via social media. The Constructors Champion tweeted, “@RenaultSportF1 @ForceIndiaF1 Don’t suppose you’ve got any other drivers kicking about anywhere? We’re kinda short on numbers right now…” Force India replied jokingly, “@MercedesAMGF1 @RenaultSportF1 is that when you announce you are running a talent show to find the next big thing?” Renault Sport F1 joined the conversation with an answer saying, “(sorry… Continue Reading »

Red Bull Exiting From Renault Engine Deal in 2016 in Favor of Mercedes

From consistently complaining about the continuous dominance of Mercedes-AMG Petronas in Formula One, Infinity Red Bull Racing might split up after the 2015 season. Early last month, it was revealed that Red Bull was considering a switch to the winning engine, that is going for Mercedes-AMG power units for its race cars. New reports from sporting websites say it is definitely happening. Mercedes remained officially mum on the matter though when the rumors leaked out, except for some hints from the personal interviews of the team boss Toto Wolff and its non-executive chairman Niki Lauda. Red Bull declined commenting on the subject too. Lauda immediately downplayed the possibility of the… Continue Reading »

The third generation of smart cars have been caught on video during a recent testing. These are fruits of the partnership forged between Mercedes-Benz and Renault. The exterior of the smart cars remain literally sketchy as of the moment due to the camouflage wrapped all around their armors, so we can’t comment yet on what they look like on the outside. However, we were able to fish out some valuable information about the vehicles from MB Passion. According to the source, the cars will have a rear-wheel drive. A lot of smart fortwo owners gathered at the smart times event in Antwerp. In that occasion, these small car enthusiasts showcased their prized vehicles and mingled with other people of the same interest. In the same event, Daimler announced that they are releasing the four door version of the smart car again, in year 2014. If you can still remember, the smart forfour was made and launched before, between April 2004 and July 2006. But the numbers were not quite what they expected, so they stopped production. But Daimler, with their partner Renault-Nissan, deemed that it is now the time to introduce it to the market again. And it… Continue Reading »
