With the Malaysian nation in mourning after it was officially confirmed that the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 crashed in the Indian Ocean, some debate whether pushing through with the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix is proper or not. While it is understood that the tragedy is very hard to accept, especially for the families of the victims, the race must go on. Aside from the tourism potentials that the race can provide in the area, it would also be a great time for the F1 community to honor the death of the passengers and crew of flight MH370. Despite the huge uproar of teams and fans alike over the implementation of the new F1 rules, Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg seem to just have a good laugh about it. The video is quite funny since it reflects most of the F1 community’s view over the new F1 rules concerning the engine, scoring and the barrage of other technical changes taking place this season. Among the things mocked in the video are the smaller engine, penalties imposed to drivers,… Continue Reading »

A Quick Look at Mercedes’ F1 Steering Wheels

Despite driving the same car, the steering wheel of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg do not share the same features. One of the most noticeable differences between the two Mercedes F1 steering wheels is the handgrip. Hamilton’s steering wheel grip is smoother and it appears to be thicker as compared to Rosberg’s curvy grip. Then, the buttons are also visibly very distinct from each other. The color combinations in the Briton’s switches and buttons are obviously not the same with that of his German partner. Basically, Rosberg’s controls appear to be the standard of Mercedes-Benz while Hamilton’s closely resembles his own steering wheel back in McLaren team. Another key difference… Continue Reading »
