Mercedes-Benz Museum Draws Large Crowds For 2010

Most major car companies have seen fit to maintain automotive museums to better preserve their historical achievements over the decades. And while most of these museums undoubtedly have something interesting to preserve and show, it is Mercedes-Benz’s cars that are filled with innovation, heritage and a sense of history. It is in the forthcoming year that Mercedes-Benz celebrates Carl Benz’s patent application for his first car 125 years ago. A truly historical event. Mercedes-Benz holds Super Sports Cars museum exhibit

Sports cars have always been considered as the successful bonding between man and machine. Mercedes-Benz thus takes pride in its fleet of super sports cars to be showcased in the Mercedes-Benz Museum. The event, dubbed the ‘Super Sports Car special exhibition’, will be held from April 27 to August 29 of this year. To be featured in the exhibition are eight historic models, namely a 1928 SSK, a 1969 C 111, a 1998 CLK-GTR, the famed 300 SL of 1954, a 1991 C 112, a 1999 Vision SLR and a 1906 75hp antique. There are many people who are just so attracted to art and history. That’s why museums stay in business. In this part of the world, one museum has just recently welcomed its three millionth visitor. Yes, that’s three million guests in the span of merely four years since its halls first stood. We’re talking about the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.
