Mercedes Retains Michael Schumacher as Ambassador

Mercedes-Benz confirmed that Michael Schumacher remains as its ambassador. The decision of the company came despite the current medical condition of the Formula One legend. It should be noted that Schumacher had an accident while skiing with his son at Meribel Ski Resort in the French Alps on December 29, 2013. The incident left him with a serious head injury, which led doctors to place him in a medically-induced coma. Luckily, like the fighter that he was during his run as a racer, Schumacher has beaten the odds. Nico Rosberg renewed his contract with Mercedes AMG Petronas. The new contract ties the German driver to the team of the giant automaker brand for two more years according to rumors. French investigators were finally able to put together the story leading to the Michael Schumacher accident which left the seven-time Formula 1 champion in a critical state on December 29, 2013, just days before New Year and his 45th birthday. Michael Schumacher in Critical Condition Following Skiing Accident

Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador Michael Schumacher is in critical condition after the seven-time F1 champion underwent brain surgery needed as a result of an accident while skiing in Meribel, a ski resort in the Tarentaise Valley in the French Alps. The surgery was needed for Schumacher’s serious head trauma, and the official statement from the hospital says “he remains in a critical condition.” The press statement is signed by a neurosurgeon, the Grenoble University Hospital Center’s deputy director Marc Penaud, and an anesthesiologist.
