Revving Up The 2016 Brabus 600 Mercedes-AMG GT S & Brabus 650 Mercedes C63 AMG

A three-minute clip on video-sharing website YouTube features two cars modified by Brabus being revved up. The video basically just shows the cars being started up. We didn’t even get to see the interiors of the cars or even how fast the two can perform. It’s all about that excitement we feel when we hear a new Mercedes being revved up. But honestly, is there a car sexier than what Brabus did with the Brabus 600 Mercedes-AMG GT S and Brabus 650 Mercedes C63 AMG? The sleek lines and body styles are not the only ones sticking our eyes on the Brabus modifications. Open up the hood and you’ll get astonishingly surprised… Continue Reading »

Mercedes F1 Drivers Not Punished by Stewards After Spanish GP Incident

Tension escalated quickly at the 2016 Formula One Spanish Grand Prix. Just four turns from the starting line, the Silver Arrows of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg collided with each other, which led to their early elimination from the race. Despite the straight faces of the drivers following the event, there was another turbulence evidently brewing within the Mercedes F1 team. Opinions were divided after reviewing clips of the incident. Most blamed Hamilton for the unfortunate outcome while some said it was a result of Rosberg’s over aggressiveness. Reports earlier claimed Hamilton will likely get reprimanded by the stewards. If found at fault over the incident, he might get a 10-place… Continue Reading »

Video of Camouflaged Mercedes CLS 63 AMG

One Mercedes CLS 63 AMG was spotted driving along Monaco last month. But what made the car special is its set up. Outside, the CLS was given an desert camouflage wrap. Under the hood of the car lies a true beauty though. Powering the car is the same V8 engine handcrafted by AMG. However, the unit has been tuned by PP-Performance to offer more power. Based on the description of the video in YouTube, the resulting output after the tuning process was a whopping 730 hp combined with 737 lb-ft of torque. There is no word about the zero to 60 mph acceleration of the car or any changes to its maximum… Continue Reading »

F1: Epic crash knocks out both Mercedes cars in lap 1 of Spanish Grand Prix

Well, that escalated quickly. Lap one of the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix saw a Mercedes on Mercedes crash, taking out the top two contenders in the season so far. This paved the way for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to be the youngest race winner in Formula One history.  Right after the start, Hamilton was able to get ahead of Rosberg but the German managed to snag back the lead by turn 3. Then, the proverbial sh-t hit the fan on the lead-up to turn 4. Check out the crash below; the carnage starts at around the 22-second mark of the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcTeQA2CM_4 Well, it’s going to be hard to say because both… Continue Reading »

Mercedes gets one-two as Rosberg keeps rolling in Russian GP

It’s looking more and more like Nico Rosberg’s year, as the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 driver took home the victory for the fourth straight race this 2016 F1 season. Teammate Lewis Hamilton took advantage of an early appearance by the safety car to move from P10 in the starting grid to a second-place finish, giving the team its second one-two finish this year so far. Kimi Raikkonen took the final podium spot, but the Ferrari just did not have the pace to challenge the Mercedes cars in this one. The red cars’ efforts were also hampered early on after Sebastian Vettel was bumped from behind by Daniil Kvyat not once but twice,… Continue Reading »

F1: Mercedes’ Rosberg wins Bahrain Grand Prix

Nico Rosberg has now won five straight GPs, including the first two in the 2016 Formula One season. The Mercedes driver took the chequered flag comfortably, with a 10-second lead over second-placer Kimi Raikkonen of Ferrari. Meanwhile, defending champion took the final podium slot 20 seconds behind the red car. As Rosberg had predicted, Hamilton was not really able to capitalize on his pole position. He dropped all the way to P9 after getting tangled with the Williams of Valtteri Bottas right on turn 1. While he fought valiantly to recover enough and get third, the damage was too much to overcome and Rosberg coasted all the way to the race win…. Continue Reading »
