The Mercedes-Benz R-Class is staging a comeback. But this time, it will be targeted exclusively for customers in China. According to CNBC, the assembly of the R-Class recently commenced at the AM General assembly plant located in Mishakawa, Indiana. It was the same facility that built the Hummer H2 from 2002 to 2009. Mercedes-Benz Performs Well Amid the Turbulence in Chinese Market

Notwithstanding the current turbulence in the luxury car segment of China, Mercedes-Benz posted a two-digit percentage increase in its sales there in July. According to a report on Bloomberg, the three-pointed star brand recorded a 42 percent increase in deliveries in the giant Asian country. The sales of Mercedes in the region amounted to 29,540 cars. Five Mercedes-Benz cars stolen from Fairfield dealership

Thieves ran away with five current-model Mercedes-Benz cars worth over $200,000 combined from the Mercedes of Fairfield dealership, in a spree carried out over the course of one week. The dealership had not been alerted to the thefts until Yonkers, NY police informed the dealership that a couple of the cars were spotted on a city street bearing the Mercedes of Fairfield logo on the plate holders. The two cars found were a 2015 ML250 (retail price at $49,800) and a 2015 GL450 (retail price $74,050). The rest of the stolen units had been found in the Bronx, according to the police. Mercedes-Benz just unveiled the new facelifted A-Class. Among them was the Motorsport Edition. Recently, one of its pre-production models was spotted roaming the roads of Germany.
