Another front row lockout for Mercedes in 2014 Singapore Grand Prix qualifying

Lewis Hamilton took another pole position at the qualifying session for the 2014 Singapore Grand Prix, clinching his sixth pole of the season and giving Mercedes AMG Petronas its 13th pole in 14 races so far. Joining the Brit on the front row once the race starts tonight is Nico Rosberg, whose qualifying time was only 0.007 seconds short of Hamilton’s. Getting pole position is always a great thing, although it is not a guarantee for victory. Hamilton wins Italian Grand Prix; Rosberg 2nd for Mercedes one-two finish

Lewis Hamilton raced well and had great pace throughout the race to win the 2014 Italian Grand Prix, ahead of teammate Nico Rosberg for yet another Mercedes one-two finish. That’s a nice recovery after retiring from the last race, as Hamilton now gets back some lost ground thanks to the points differential. Hamilton cuts Rosberg’s lead in the drivers’ standings by 7 points, and the two are now separated by 22 points – 238 for Rosberg, and 216 for Hamilton with six races left on the calendar. A new report claimed that the contract renewal of Lewis Hamilton is currently not falling in his favor. According to The Guardian, the salary of the Briton from Mercedes might be reduced significantly in his new contract. Presently, Hamilton is bound by his £60 million contract with Mercedes, which will expire in about 16 months. Mercedes: Rosberg fined and punished for Belgian GP incident

According to an official statement from Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team, Nico Rosberg has been reprimanded for making contact with Lewis Hamilton’s car during the last race in Belgium. The feud between the Mercedes drivers have gone from tolerable to very public and outright disastrous, coming to a head during the Belgian Grand Prix a weekend ago when Rosberg made contact with Hamilton’s car, sending the Brit limping off to the pits thanks to an unfortunate puncture in his rear tyre and to an eventual race retirement. Mercedes-Benz: Over 100,000 CLA units delivered to customers since launch

It seems like only yesterday that the Mercedes-Benz CLA compact sedan was being launched to much hype and with great expectations, as the vehicle was set to usher in a new transition for the German automaker and its market mindset. Fast forward to today and the company says that over 100,000 units of the CLA have already been delivered to customers worldwide.
