Steve Cannon Looks to Improve Skills of Mercedes Sales People

Mercedes-Benz is no doubt a leader when it comes to luxury vehicle innovation, and design. It keeps itself up-to-date or even one step ahead yearly when it comes to engine performance and technological advancements. This year alone marked the introduction of the new S-Class, C-Class, and CLS, among others. Mercedes R-Class Was Pulled Out from the US

The Mercedes R-Class is a wonderful car, no doubt about that. With a V6 engine, lovely leather interiors and all-wheel drive, which translates to power and luxury what more can you ask for? However, in the highly competitive US market, these characteristics actually became problems. Not that Americans don’t like the car, it’s just that great features comes with an even greater price tag. MBUSA August Sales Are Up by 5.4%

Mercedes-Benz USA reported on September 1 that they sold a total of 20,728 units for the month of August. That’s a 5.4% increase from sales last year, same month. This also sets a record of being the highest August sales since 2007. E-Class and C-Class models leads the herd as the highest performers with the E-Class selling 5,628 and C-Class 4,728. Taking the third spot is the Mercedes-Benz M-Class with 2,191. Mercedes US Plant’s $2B Expansion in the Works

Mercedes-Benz’ parent company, Daimler, said that it plans on upgrading and retooling the US plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama by investing $2 billion. This is in an effort to start production of the 2014 C-Class  and the R- and GL-Class. This statement was made in the middle of a head-to-head battle with BMW for the number one spot in the US’ luxury car segment. Three Record-Breaking Sales Figures Achieved by Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz recently announced that the company has set three sales records. The first one, June 2011 being the highest June ever with a total of 120,510 vehicles sold globally. For Mercedes-Benz USA alone, the company delivered 22,653 cars, their highest in June as well. The second record, is the highest sales for the quarter as April and May were also great months. The quarter recorded an increase of 7.2% or a total of 329,979 cars.
