The Mercedes S 65 AMG Coupe and S 600 Guard certainly stole the show at the 2014 Moscow International Auto Salon. In addition to the two, there’s one more vehicle that is worth noting, the Brabus Business Lounge. The vehicle is based on the platform of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. For the untrained eye, its body would be easily mistaken as the standard Mercedes Sprinter van. However, some giveaways which would reveal that it has been tuned are its 18-inch Monoblock weels, LED daytime running lights, twin-exhaust systems, and face-lifted front bumper. Inside the Brabus-tuned Mercedes Sprinter van is the fun really starts. The tuning firm has added four leather-trimmed executive seats in its cabin. The seats were… Continue Reading »

Is the Renaming Strategy of Mercedes a Smart Move

In my previous article, it was revealed that Mercedes-Benz is gradually implementing its renaming strategy. One of the affected would be the popular M-Class. Read the article here for more information on the story. I agree that the decision of Ola Kaellenius is very smart move, because it lets customers interrelate the products of the three-pointed star brand easily. It basically bridges a relationship between the larger variants of the German marque with their sedan counterparts. For example, the M-Class would be repackaged as the GLE to establish a connection with its more popular sedan cousin, which is the E-Class. It would also give more sense to the names of the different ranges of the brand,… Continue Reading »
