Mercedes-Benz Factory in Germany Part of Oklahoma Instructors’ Tour

Two instructors from the Meridian Technology Center took a trip to Germany. This is in an effort to help teachers “bring the world to their classrooms”. The two teachers, Shelly Smith and David Shields, toured car manufacturing plants in Germany, one of those plants being Mercedes-Benz. Another part of their tour is the Mercedes-Benz museum which, they said, did a good job in explaining how automotive technology developed. Another thing they observed in the country is how different Germans commute from Americans. Mercedes-Benz Museum portrays challenges of the future

Celebrating its 125th anniversary next year is Carl Benz’s brainchild, one and a quarter century after he claimed patent over the world first ever automobile. For that occasion, the company is going to completely renovate the Legend 6 room and remark it with ‘New Start—the Road to Emission-Free Mobility’, and will open its doors to the public on the 30th of January next year. The redesigned room will showcase the company’s latest innovations set for the future, putting on display their various drive system variants under development, all the way from optimization of their existing internal combustion powerplants to electric motors, hybrid and fuel cell technologies. 125 years of Mercedes-Benz on 12 calendar pages

How do will you celebrate your 125th birthday? Let’s see… how about giving your loved ones a very special calendar? That’s nice, isn’t it? That’s exactly what Mercedes-Benz is doing for its 125th anniversary. The company has just spread word of the release of a very special calendar through their Mercedes-Benz Musuem Shop as well as online. Photographer Stuttgart Hans-Peter helped in bringing the calendar into fruition. The said calendar will be featuring special images from the Mercedes-Benz Museum and will be sold for EUR29.90 starting October 15th.
