What you see here is probably the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, photographed by Victor Gutierrez Poza from his room in a Madrid hotel. It’s still a bit clad in shroud at the rear, but most of the body is visible—including a view of the unibody headlights. It veers away from the four-headlight setup commonly found in recent E-Class vehicles, which is why many believe this could be the refreshed E-Class. Evident in the picture as well are the vehicle’s fresh bumper and grille, and the rims seem to have been redesigned, too. Mercedes-Benz has outed more details on the E 300 BlueTEC Hybrid, touted as the automaker’s most efficient production E-Class to date. The hybrid is powered by a combination of a four-cylinder diesel engine, which gives it 204 horsepower with top torque of 500Nm, and a 20-kilowatt electric motor. This hybrid powertrain is coupled with the automaker’s 7G-Tronic Plus automatic gearbox and is supported by a 19kWH Li-Ion battery. Top speed for the hybrid is pegged at 150 mph, and it will take the car just 7.5 seconds to go from zero to 62 mph. With the 9th generation E-Class leading the pack of the highest number of vehicle sold for July, the whole Mercedes-Benz line increased its number by 167% since the same time last year. This increase in sales is the highest since July 2006. The highest performer, E-Class’ sales amounted to 5,114, followed by the C-Class which sold a total of 4,554 vehicles. Meanwhile, the M-Class SUV took the third spot with sales of 2,778 which is a 40.8% increase in comparison with the sales from July last year. Additionally, the smart brand sold a total of 327 units. After working with the E-Class, Brabus worked next on the S-Class model and took it to a different level of beauty. The tuner gave the AMG a more sport appearance with the custom BRABUS body components that are made in OEM quality from Pur-R-Rim. They are offering painting options for aerodynamic enhancement kit as well, glossy titanium finish and a painted body color. According to a survey done by J.D. Power and Associates, called the Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study, Mercedes-Benz’ owners are the most satisfied. The C, E and M-Class models scored the best in their individual segments, Other than that, the company also got the first place in Service Satisfaction category. Pitted against 28 car manufacturers and 100 models in eight categories, Mercedes-Benz scored high and placed first three times. In “Overall VOSSSM – Compact Executive”, the C-Class took the top spot, which means the model is the best among all models in the Midsize Premium category.
