Last night in Stuttgart, Mercedes won got seven awards, five for its vehicles and two for its services. The Sprinter vans won the “vans up to 3.5t” category, the Actros for the “long haul truck” and “dump tucks up to 32t” category, “urban regular-service buses” was bagged by the Citaro and the Tourino was awarded the best in “midibuses” category. The service of “rental/leasing” was also given to Mercedes-Benz Charterway and Truckworks was awarded the “truck/trailer” category. “Flottina” awards were given out to some cars of the Mercedes-Benz family. In its tenth anniversary, a magazine gave out the awards in Cologne and it was decided based on votes which were made by about 5,000 fleet managers. The voters searched for the most famous manufacturer and service provider of fleet. A total of four citations were given to Mercedes-Benz, the Mercedes B-Class got the golden Flottina in the compact van segment. Mercedes-Benz is undeniably a desirable brand. This has been proven by numerous awards that the company is getting. Just recently, the C-Class, for the second time was voted in Australia as the “Australia’s Best Car Award”. The Down Under got the C63 AMG and C250 CDI in their market. In Japan, the car got the “Imported Car of the Year Award”. It was presented at the Tokyo Motor Show. Aside from the major award in Australia, the C250 CDI also received the best premium midsize car citation at the Australian Automobile Association while the C63 AMG won the best sports car in its class.
