Fresh from victory in the Australian GP is Mercedes AMG Petronas Team with Nico Rosberg leading the race followed by his teammate and reigning F1 Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton. Looks like 2016 is indeed more exciting for Formula One. Nico Rosberg won a thrilling season-opener for Mercedes, with teammate Lewis Hamilton taking second after overcoming a bad start from pole position. “It’s early days but a perfect start,” said Rosberg, who now has won four races in a row dating back to last season. “We need to keep our eyes on the red guys and keep working.” Hamilton had to work his way back up from P7, after being practically untouchable during the practices and in qualifying. Nico Rosberg Impresses with Fastest Time Record in Practice

Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team showed no signs of slowing down. The team continued to display its excellent form during the recent F1 practice. Nico Rosberg in particular logged the fasted pace in the latest pre-season test. According to BBC Sport, the Mercedes driver set a record of 1:23.022 in the event using only soft tires. The German’s time was 0.207 seconds faster than the one next to him who happened to be Valtteri Bottas of Williams at 1:23.229. McLaren showed improvement too. Mercedes F1 Testing in Barcelona at Day One

The Mercedes-Benz F1 W07 Hybrid of Mercedes AMG Petronas made its debut as of February 22. After that it was tested in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The car was driven by reigning and three-time Formula One Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton. The testing opened at 9:00 AM until everyone took a break at 1:00 PM. Then the event resumed and went on up to 6:00 PM. Hamilton racked 66 laps during the first half of the testing. Then he proceeded to finish 90 more laps until the end of the afternoon session.
