F1: Australian GP Qualifying Postponed Due to Rain; Rosberg Paces Q1

The 2013 Rolex Australian Grand Prix is off to a rainy start, with Q2 and Q3 postponed for the morning of Sunday because of heavy rain in Melbourne’s Albert Park circuit. The race is still scheduled to start at 5 pm Australian time on Sunday. Lewis Hamilton was actually pacing the field sometime during Q1, but the Mercedes AMG Petronas newcomer had to settle for P10 and a shot at a better grid position for Q2. There’s less than half an hour to go before the first qualifying session in the 2013 Formula One season. With the third practice earlier hit by some rain, there’s still practically no easy way to predict just who will come out on top at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix. Damon Hill, the British former F1 world champion, thinks that compatriot Lewis Hamilton can turn the fortunes of Mercedes AMG Petronas around. In an interview with SunSport, Hill said that, with the addition of Hamilton, himself a former world champion, is instrumental in how Mercedes is showing its true potential.
