Mercedes-Benz will be constructing a regional distribution center for parts along with a training facility in Grapevine, Texas, set to be completed in 2017. In order to boost the flow in the supply chain of spare parts headed to dealers and customers, Mercedes-Benz is counting on this new regional parts distribution center. It is planned to have a total area of 254,000 square feet. On the other hand, the learning and training facility is a planned technical facility that will cater to the ongoing training of technicians in Mercedes-Benz’s Southwestern USA dealerships. The successor of Mercedes-Benz USA and NAFTA President and CEO Stephen Cannon was officially announced by the company. Dietmar Exler takes over the duties of the outgoing executive starting January 1, 2016. Daimler just announced that the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet is now available for customers who wish to order it. The source revealed that the car will hit dealerships starting April next year. For those who wish to purchase the S-Class convertible, be prepared to shell out 139,051.50 euros up to 187,484.50 euros for it, and more if you opt to include its exclusive packages.
