Mansory Boldly Tunes The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance

Giancarlo Perlas November 10, 2023

There aren’t many companies that would be very much willing to gamble on Mercedes-Benz cars with their over-the-top tuning packages. Just by looking at the photos here, it’s not hard to guess that the subject, a Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance sedan, has been tweaked by Mansory.

Leveled Up Power Unit Specs

According to the latest Instagram post of the rather infamous Mercedes tuner, this beast has been upgraded to boost its output to 880 hp and 1,099 lb-ft of torque. As a recap, the stock configuration of the electrified AMG S-Class’ 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 already produces a whopping 791 hp and 1,055 lb-ft of torque.

The power increase allows the high-performance sedan to cover 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds on the way to its electronically-capped max speed of 199 mph. How the specialist managed to arrive at these numbers remains a mystery though.

The Cosmetic Enhancements

The power-ups of Mansory surely never fail to impress us, but the design is mostly where people’s opinions are divided. Being known for their radical approach when it comes to the choice of body kits, the new project of the tuner is predictably fused with extremely aggressive vented bonnet, side trims, lip spoiler, tailpipes, rear diffuser, and FD.15 wheelset.

Even the front grille and the three-pointed star emblem have been removed to give way to the Mansory-labeled logo flanked by vertical slats. Sadly, these add-ons erase all the key distinguishing features of the AMG S 63 E Performance’s exterior.

Aside from popping up the hood, one can only discern the car as a true Mercedes by examining the cockpit, which has been fortunately left by the controversial tuner intact.

Pricing of the Mansory Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance

Mansory didn’t publicly disclose the price of its program based on the Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance. However, it should be noted that the stock configuration of the project car alone costs €208,392.80 in Europe.
