Mercedes-Benz GLS Will Compete with X6

After BMW sold 120,000 units of X6 since it launch in 2009, Mercedes-Benz is planning on making a model that will compete directly with it, which will be called Mercedes-Benz GLS. The SUV, will take the some designs from the CLS four-door. Despite the details being on hold, an insider revealed to Auto Evolution that it could have the V6 engine that will perform at 306HP and the V8 with 435HP, these will be for the petrol version. Mercedes-Benz Tops J.D. Power’s Customer Satisfaction Survey

According to a survey done by J.D. Power and Associates, called the Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study, Mercedes-Benz’ owners are the most satisfied. The C, E and M-Class models scored the best in their individual segments, Other than that, the company also got the first place in Service Satisfaction category. Pitted against 28 car manufacturers and 100 models in eight categories, Mercedes-Benz scored high and placed first three times. In “Overall VOSSSM – Compact Executive”, the C-Class took the top spot, which means the model is the best among all models in the Midsize Premium category. Longest Car Drift World Record Bagged by Mercedes’ Mauro Calo

Mauro Calo, Mercedes-Benz and Autocar’s demo driver has set a new world record for the longer powerslide or card drift using Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. Calo beat the previous record by a quarter of a mile or 394 meters as he took the sports sedan at 2,308 meters driving sideways. He completed eight burning laps at a company event at the Mercedes-Benz World Handling Circuit in Surrey. 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Un-Camouflaged

Auto Bild, the German car magazine caught a few spy photos of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class. They aso uncovered a few information about the vehicle that will debut on September at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new generation of B-Class will come with an option of four diesels and five gasoline engines that will range from 122 to 204 PS and 109PS to 204 PS respectively. Gary Paffett signed a new multi-year contract with Mercedes-Benz.The driver, who recorded a total of 17 wins from 73 starts, has been with Mercedes-Benz for 8 years. Last month, Mercedes-Benz announced how glad they are about the sales performance of their vehicles. The company reported that they have sold more vehicles than ever before in May, with  a total of 108,766 passenger cars across the globe. 2014: Mercedes-Benz to Launch 500HP Sports Car

There has been reports going around in the automotive industry, Mercedes-Benz is working on a new car which will be a baby SLS coupe. A report from German auto magazine, Auto Bild says that a fighter using a twin-turbo V6 will be launched by the company, this car will rival the Porsche 911 but with a better edge. Aside from the twin-turbo engine, it will be in various tunes from 350HP to 500HP.
