Over the weekend, the Mercedes-Benz opened an exhibit showcasing the entire product range of Mercedes-Benz Style. Being a luxury label, not just any showcase venue would do, so Mercedes-Benz decided to present its wares at the Porto Montenegro marina. Porto Montenegro is home to the superyachts of the world’s super-rich, so it’s an apt venue for a luxury product showcase ranging from eyewear, to a helicopter, to a luxury motor yacht. If you think Mercedes-Benz is only involved in Auto Shows, here’s something for you: the German automaker—under Mercedes-Benz Style and Silver Arrows Marine—just presented a luxury motor yacht model at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show. The marine vessel completes Mercedes-Benz’s conquest of transportation modes, following leadership in land vehicles and together with the high-flying Eurocopter EC143 Mercedes-Benz Style. This helps Daimler achieve what it envisions as “all-encompassing mobility.” The Granturismo motor yacht is measured at 14 meters long and makes use of design cues from Mercedes-Benz vehicles, applying that distinct style to a luxury yacht. UK-based Silver Arrows Marine will be in charge of developing and building the yacht, with… Continue Reading »
Looking more like an executive business jet’s cabin than a small earthbound van, Bulgarian tuner Vilner has taken an ordinary Mercdes Vito van and made it truly extraordinary. The understated exterior treatment hints at very little of the transformation wrought by Vilner to the interior of the van. From the outside, the van just sports aftermarket wheels and a subdued presence. Open the sliding door, step inside, and you are transported to a plush luxury interior that you wouldn’t be embarassed to accommodate any VIP or celebrity in. Four ultra-plush seats occupy the cabin, whose headliner and side trim are finished in matching-color Nappa leather, Alcantara and fine wood. Tinted… Continue Reading »

Russia’s wealth has started to finally move down to the common people. This is evident by just looking at some of the cars that the taxi drivers are hauling around. Believe it or not, Porsche Cayennes and Maybachs are being used to drive people around the town.
