Due to the very fast movement of information nowadays, thanks to the Internet, the pictures of the car once again surfaced before its official unveiling. Just this Friday, MB Passion was able to get an exclusive preview of the car in London prior to its debut in the Goodwood event, and was kind enough to share its photos in its site. The streets of London will start to become crowded these days as a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6×6 was seen roaming around the city recently, according to a report from carbuzz.com. The modified SUV was spotted being driven around the streets of London. It is not easy to imagine finding a suitable parking space for this massive beast that can take up as much space as a small truck. Although the extremely large-sized SUV may not be suitable for the streets of London, it is an ingenious way of promoting the newly-opened showroom of Brabus in Park Lane of London. “MERCEDES DRIVE THRU” in London

What’s not to love about food and art? The aim is to provide “an exceptional sensory experience” highlighted by good food and some light art, accomplished by the duo with help from the Jason Bruges Studio, a multimedia collective in the UK. A lot of people are buying into mobile phone products and services which do not involve contracts, are avoiding marriage and are sharing cars instead of buying brand new models in order to save money. Dubbed as Connect, the company now offers rentals of electric cars by the hour. Why is it hourly, do you ask? Well, because you count electric car performance not by distance, but more… Continue Reading »

London: smart Cars Get Congestion Charge Exemption

Green automaker smart, a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz, has announced recently that the London congestion charge won’t affect the fortwo CDI and MHD models. That’s because these newer smart cars meet the Euro 5 emissions standards, and are thus given a full discount on the charge via the Greener Vehicle Discount. With the softip transmission, the CDI (which is good for 54 bhp) emits a mere 86 g/km of CO2. The MHD (71 bhp), when on the same transmission, gets a relatively modest 97 g/km of CO2. Still, those numbers are more than enough to qualify those smart models for the discount. The new rules to the Greener Vehicle Discount are… Continue Reading »

Sprinter vans to clean up Southwark Borough in London

The London Borough of Southwark has got a brand new fleet of environmentally-friendly vehicles to help clean the streets and lessen air pollution. They’re none other than Mercedes-Benz’s Sprinter van, chosen by the Southwark Council after a salvo of tests to confirm its environmental prowess. Around 47 Sprinters have been ordered, and an engine that’s compliant with Euro 5 emission standards and the Enhanced Environmentally-friendly Vehicle, or EEV, standards powers each one of them. Mercedes-Benz took it upon themselves to design their vans’ engines to be EEV-certified to have a cutting-edge advantage of competing manufacturers. The Sprinters are also equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s ECO-Start technology, a system that improves fuel economy… Continue Reading »
