  The Mercedes-Benz original parts program just unveiled an optional upgrade that will let you drive in style. Taking off from the success of its illuminated three-pointed Mercedes star in the middle of its radiator grille, the performance division of the German automaker revealed its all-new Mercedes-AMG emblem LED projector. According to Daimler, the new projector can be installed by Mercedes-Benz and its authorized partners in mere minutes. All they have to do is replace the stock entrance lighting located under the front doors with the LED projector. Video: Mercedes-Benz E-Class Multibeam LED headlamps

The Multibeam LED headlamps come as an optional add-on in the new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Announced officially by Mercedes in 2013 and offered for the first time in the current S-Class model of that period, the feature promised that it would offer flexibility in terms of illumination wherein it would adjust itself depending on a particular situation on the road. It is composed of a group of LED lighting diodes with each part acting individually to enhance targeting and light distribution. Next-Generation LED Headlights Unveiled By Mercedes-Benz

While BMW and Audi have started to use laser headlights, Mercedes-Benz is currently working on its next-generation LED headlights, according to a report from worldcarfans.com. The luxury manufacturer from Germany aims to use 84 LEDs for each headlamp, which is a big jump from the 24 it is currently using on the high beam module found on the CLS headlamp. The increase in the number of LEDs is designed to enhance light quality. A medium-term plan will see around 1024 pixels for each LED to optimize illumination on the road in all traffic conditions at any speed.
