Martin Kaymer is the Newest Mercedes-Benz Brand Ambassador

The latest Mercedes-Benz brand ambassador is top German golfer Martin Kaymer. The winner of the 2010 PGA Championship will first be sporting the three-pronged star emblem on his gear in next week’s tournament in Abu Dhabi and will also be tasked to promote the Mercedes Trophy, the exclusive premium amateur golf tourney series. Kaymer adds to the list of the automaker’s international brand ambassors, which already includes two-time Masters winner Bernhard Langer and defending Masters titlist Adam Scott, as well as national brand ambassador for Germany, Marcel Siem. Mercedes-Benz is PGA of America Patron Partner Through 2017

Mercedes-Benz has renewed its pact with the PGA of America, which means that it will maintain its Patron partnership with the golfing body all the way through 2017. The partnership, which was started in 2010, allows the german car brand to stay on as the official patron and the official vehicle of the PGA of America as well as a variety of golf events, including the PGA Championship, the Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, and as the official patron of the 2014 Ryder Cup (US rights in 2014, global rights except Europe in 2016). That’s thanks to the flow-shaped elements highlighting the design of the fancy new golf cart presented by the German automaker at the 2013 Open Championship golf competition held from July 18-21 in Gullane, Scotland. Who said golf is only for the rich and powerful? If you take a little time to understand the sport, you’ll learn that it’s not always about a bunch of athletes having someone follow them around with a bag of clubs and an umbrella. There’s actually a lot of charity involved in the sport, as shown recently by Mercedes-Benz. This year’s beneficiary of the Mercedes-Benz of Naples’ Golf Tournament is the Community School of Naples. The tournament, held at the Kensington Golf & Country Club, raised a $7,000 check.
