Mercedes-Benz A-Class Production Begins

The production of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class model has begun in Rastatt, Germany. The A-Class is already in its fourth-generation. The car is highlighted by the integration of Mercedes-Benz User Experience or MBUX, which is the newest multimedia system of the German luxury vehicle brand. According to Daimler, the production of the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class started on April 19. LAPV Version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class Spied

Can military vehicles be any cooler than this? Recent spy shots revealed that Mercedes-Benz is working on a new version of its G-Class-based Light Armored Patrol Vehicle, or the LAPV. These vehicles are especially developed for military use, so its major features would remain to be an upgraded armor protection and boosted suspension system, among other things, of course. The last LAPV, called the LAPV 5.4, was introduced back in 2008. Since then, the company has been silent about any plans to upgrade the LAPV. That ends now, of course. Daniel Juncadella Bests Wehrlein, Rosberg in Stars & Cars

Spanish driver Daniel Juncadella won his debut race at the first Stars & Cars event of Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart, Germany. He sealed his victory in the fourth round and final leg of the race against current DTM Drivers’ Champion Pascal Wehrlein. Based on the Stars & Cars page of Mercedes, there were sixteen competitors in the event. Among them were Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg as well as Bernd Scheider, Mika Hakkinen, and David Coulthard. Both Hamilton and Rosberg made it until the semifinals. Hamilton was bested by Wehrlein with a 0.099-second gap only. The DTM champ had a time of 1:19.938. Mercedes-Benz Sales Grew by 12.9 Percent Globally

The official tally of Daimler regarding its sales in 2014 was recently published on its Global Media Newsroom. According to the data found there, Mercedes-Benz sales increased by 12.9 percent based on a year-on-year comparison. The rate translated to a total of 1,650,010 vehicles sold worldwide. The achievement of the three-pointed star brand this year marked its fourth consecutive record year. The year that just ended was highlighted by December being the strongest month of the brand, successfully getting 163,171 sales for its units. There is a speculation that the Mercedes-Benz SLK might receive a few modifications. A rumor from a reliable source has it that the upgraded car will debut in 2015.
