Mercedes F1 Testing in Barcelona at Day One

The Mercedes-Benz F1 W07 Hybrid of Mercedes AMG Petronas made its debut as of February 22. After that it was tested in the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The car was driven by reigning and three-time Formula One Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton. The testing opened at 9:00 AM until everyone took a break at 1:00 PM. Then the event resumed and went on up to 6:00 PM. Hamilton racked 66 laps during the first half of the testing. Then he proceeded to finish 90 more laps until the end of the afternoon session. Mercedes F1 W07 Successfully Finishes Its First Laps

The first Formula One race of the 2016 season is fast approaching. As of last Friday, February 18, Mercedes-AMG Petronas finally let loose its next championship car during a Promotional Event at Silverstone. According to Daimler, the new Mercedes F1 W07 Hybrid left the garage for the testing a 10:15 AM. The car was driven by the two decorated drivers of Mercedes—starting with Nico Rosberg, then the reigning Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton. Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team is coming back in 2016 with the same strong lineup and more advanced car. So far, the group has decided to keep its powerhouse drivers namely Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. The team is not slowing down in the upgrades of their F1 W07 Hybrid Silver Arrow race car too. Since the new engine rules came into play, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team heavily capitalized on their power unit advantage.
