Hamilton Not Yet 100 Comfortable with His Mercedes F1 Car

In a statement of Lewis Hamilton with Aljazeera, he is not concerned at all if Mercedes-Benz will be pulled away by the Formula One council to explain their side of the story regarding their alleged “secret tyre test”. He said that it is the team’s problem and not a personal issue. [F1] Mercedes Faces Outcry over Secret Tire Tests

The Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team is in trouble, as it faces potential protests over a series of tests using Pirelli tires in development for next season and also another design that is salted to be introduced at the upcoming Canadian Grand Prix. Ninety percent of the testing was for next season’s tires, according to Pirelli’s motorsport director, Paul Hembery. The tests were done with the F1 W04, and with regular drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. There’s been a short break, but Formula One action resumes next weekend at the Circuit de Catalunya for the 2013 Spanish Grand Prix. Mercedes AMG Petronas is keen on improving the results it has posted so far after four races. Tyre management remains an issue, as is a lack of pace during the races. The Mercedes-Benz Formula One team is shifting 50% of its workforce to work on the development of their 2014 race car according to a recent news from ZeeNews. The move was intended to increase the chances of their star driver Lewis Hamilton of winning the trophy next season. [F1] Hamilton Gets Podium Finish; Rosberg Retires in Chinese Grand Prix

A strong qualifying session turned into a mixed performance for the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team at the 2013 Chinese Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton managed to finish third for back-to-back podium finishes (he also finished third in Malaysia), but teammate Nico Rosberg had to retire on lap 22 because of a suspension problem.
