Fired MBNA Head Goes To Court

After marketing head Steve Cannon was recently appointed to head Mercedes-Benz North America’s operations, we all thought that fired former CEO for North America Ernst Lieb would settle for some peace and quiet away from the controversy. Instead, employing the services of a legal eagle, Lieb has gone to court to contest what his lawyer says is an unfair dismissal. Lieb’s counsel, Stefan Naegele plans to show in German court that Lieb is only one of many Mercedes-Benz employees who have been unfairly dismissed as part of Mercedes’ zero tolerance policy on corruption. Mercedes-Benz USA CEO was Fired

Ernst Lieb, the well-liked CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA since 2006 was relieved of his post, according to Automotive News. Since Lieb handled the company, the sales went up to 10.4% for that year, trailing ahead of the US car market revival. The company also became the leading brand in the USA, well past Lexus, and this all happened under his wings. Ernst Lieb, Mercedes-Benz CEO gave a forecast to reporters at the Quail motorsports gathering in California – Mercedes-Benz will finish first this year as he said the company is aiming for a double digit sales increase, which is not far because currently, it is at 9.8%.
