Enhancements Set For 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG [Gallery]

Reports indicating that the enhanced model of the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG will offer a modified 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system with a torque distribution of 67 / 33 (rear /front axle) were found to be accurate. This will give this model a much better handling, and will make it faster on the track compared to the earlier RWD design, AMG chief executive Ola Källenius revealed. In comparison, the E-Class models with feature a 4MATIC system with a torque split of 55/45. After the official launch of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class recently, it revealed a vehicle that is more than just a normal mid-cycle enhancement. Thanks to the unending parade of spyshots, Mercedes enthusiasts know that the current E-Class is getting a facelift. And as facelifts go, not much is expected by way of drivetrain improvements. Usually, one sees a modest bump in output, or some extra fuel efficiency in terms of mileage. AMG 6.2 Liter V8 Bags Two Engine of the Year Awards

The chunky and loaded AMG 6.2 liter V8, will reportedly be replaced with a twin turbo 5.5 liter V8 because of fuel consumption and emission reasons. The 6,208 cubic centimeter engine has again showed its range of ability by winning over two competitors in its league at the International Engine of the Year Awards 2010.
