The Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR really amazed us when it was unveiled at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas because of its very futuristic appearance and innovative biometric interaction program that lets the driver steer the auto using subtle gestures. The name of the concept car means “Advanced Vehicle Transformation”, and it is also a play of “Avatar”, which happens to be one of the highest-grossing sci-fi films of our time. Smart ForTwo Disney Edition Available Only in Japan

If you happened to be in Japan and you are a huge Mickey Mouse fan, you will find it interesting that Smart, through its Brabus tailor-made program, recently released its Disney Edition for the ForTwo. What makes this one different from the other Smart ForTwo units is that carries the same color patterns as Disney’s iconic character, Mickey Mouse. The Smart ForTwo Disney Edition uses a combination of four colors associated with the famous mouse. Yellow was used for the car’s mirrors, black for its tridion cell, white for its wheels, and red for its body. Inside are leather seats embroidered with the “edition Disney” logo. Petersen Automotive Museum Showcases The World’s Greatest Sports Coupes

Petersen Automotive Museum, an LA-based non-profit organization housing the world’s largest automotive museum, launched an event showcasing “The World’s Greatest Sports Coupes” last week on April 10. The event sponsored by Jaguar featured a dozen of sports coupes handpicked by twelve celebrity guest curators. It also included a collection of artistic sports coupe photos from renowned automotive photographer Scott Williamson. Of course, when we talk about the best sports coupes of all time, the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is something that can never be omitted.
