Mercedes-Benz Removes Airscarf in Its German Cars

Mercedes-Benz will have to disable the Airscarf feature of its cars sold in Germany. According to a source, the three-pointed star marque had to do the drastic move to prevent being penalized under the law. That’s because it so happened that the technology had already been patented by another party. Based on a court ruling, Mercedes is using a technology that was patented in 1996. Basically, Airscarf can be found in the convertible models of Mercedes like the SL, SLK, SLC, and the cabriolet versions of its sedans. Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet Pricing Revealed

More about the specifications of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet have been released. The pricing of the convertible was also revealed by Auto Express. According to the source, the starting price of the stylish S-Class Cabrio is at £110,120. The car will have three models to choose from upon release. There’s the standard version and two Mercedes-AMG variants. The first in the selection is the Mercedes-Benz S500 Cabriolet. The convertible carries a 4.7-liter biturbo V8 engine capable of producing up to 449 bhp. It can sprint from zero to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds. Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet Gets a New Look From MEC Design

In December 2014, MEC Design teased its new body kit for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. The tuner baptized it as Project Cerberus. On January 12 the following year, it was made available for customers. According to Motorward, MEC Design recently revealed a customized version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet. The car still carries the Cerberus kit but revisions have been introduced to refresh the package for the present year. Compared to the older E-Class convertible with the Cerberus kit, the new package offers a milder look. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet Makes Its Debut in Geneva

On the eve of the 86th Geneva Motor Show, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet was finally unveiled officially. The convertible came not only in its standard form but also in its AMG version. The models of the auto that were highlighted in the show were the Mercedes-Benz C300 Cabriolet and the more powerful Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Cabriolet. According to Daimler, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Cabriolet follows the same wheelbase, length and width of its coupe counterpart. It’s only weeks before the Geneva International Motor Show kicks off. The 86th edition of the show will be held on March 3 to 13, 2016.
